Still

Privacy Policy

Effective July 20, 2026

STILL is a private, offline-first journal. When you use STILL on your own, nothing you write or track ever leaves your phone — there is no account, no server, no analytics. The only time any data goes online is if you deliberately turn on Companion to do the 75 days with one other person, and even then, your private daily reflections still never leave your device.

Who we are

STILL is made by Pebblestone Tech (“we,” “us”). This policy explains what STILL collects, why, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us at pebblestone.tech.ltd@gmail.com.

Using STILL on your own (the default)

Your challenge progress, task completions, progress photos, and daily reflections are stored only on your device, in the app’s local database. We cannot see them. They are not backed up to us, not synced to a server, and not shared with any third party. If you export a journal PDF or a JSON backup, that file is created on your device and shared only where you choose to send it.

We do not use any analytics or advertising SDKs, and we do not track your behavior. We do not sell or share personal data.

Companion (only if you turn it on)

Companion lets you do the 75 days alongside one person — a partner, a friend. It is entirely optional. Turning it on is the only thing that makes STILL use the network (aside from purchases, below). We use Google Firebase to connect the two of you. When you pair with someone, the following is stored in Firebase so your companion can see it:

What never leaves your device, even with Companion on: your private daily reflections. Those are yours alone. Only answers on explicitly “shared” prompts are ever transmitted, and only to your one companion.

Only you and your companion can read your shared data; access is restricted at the database level to the two members of a pair. When you end a companionship, the shared connection is closed.

Purchases

STILL Pro and subscriptions are sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple processes the payment — we never receive or store your card details. Your purchase status is verified through Apple’s StoreKit. If you unlock Pro and are paired, that unlock can be extended to your companion (“one pays, both walk”); to do this we store which member of the pair unlocked it.

Notifications

If you enable reminders or Companion notifications, we send push notifications to your device. Delivery uses Expo’s push service and Apple Push Notification service to reach your phone. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device settings.

Who processes data for us

When Companion is on, we rely on a small number of service providers:

We do not share your data with anyone else, and we never sell it.

Keeping and deleting your data

Local data: deleting the STILL app from your device removes your local journal, tasks, and photos. This cannot be undone, so export a PDF or backup first if you want to keep your record.

Companion data: ending a companionship closes the shared connection. To request deletion of the Companion data associated with your anonymous identifier, email pebblestone.tech.ltd@gmail.com and we’ll take care of it.

Children

STILL is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to object to certain processing. Because solo use stores nothing with us, these rights mainly concern Companion data. Email us to exercise any of them.

Changes to this policy

If we change how STILL handles data, we’ll update this page and revise the effective date above. Significant changes will be reflected in the app.
